We are looking to hire a dynamic healthcare/EHR implementation and training specialist ready to become an integral part of a new, iOS/iPad based, game-changing EHR which is very intuitive to use. This person will need excellent customer relationship and presentation skills.

Job Description

The EHR Implementation Specialist is responsible for implementation, configuration, and training of practice operations to support the successful adoption of a game changing electronic medical records software. In partnership with team members and in line with the project plan, the EHR Implementation Specialist will interact directly with the physicians and physicians’ office staff to configure, test, train, implement and support the use of the EHR software.

Primary Responsibilities

Participate as a key member of the core implementation team charged with successfully implementing and supporting an EHR system by becoming a subject matter expert in the functionality of the electronic medical records

Serve as main point of contact and application subject matter expert for the Physician offices during the implementation process and post implementation process; on site go-live support and post implementation phase, including optimization

Analyze and document the requirements of a physician’s office and clinical workflow as they pertain to the implementation of the EHR software

Prepare recommendations and/or alternatives that address existing and potential areas of improvements in physician office operations

Create, utilize and implement customized training curriculum to train and instruct the physician’s office staff on the use the features of the software effectively

Document implementation decisions and configuration approach

Directly and remotely support the physicians and physician office staff in the use of the software

Correctly status and prioritize issues

Resolve issues directly and remotely utilizing training and provided documentation

Follow established escalation and notification procedures

Provide regular status updates to Project Manager for all assigned tasks


2+ years of professional experience working in a healthcare environment

2+ years of professional experience interacting with a physician’s office

Experience supporting and implementing EHR software is preferred

Lives in Los Angeles area with reasonable commute to Calabasas

Experience with issue resolution and / or issue tracking software

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information systems or area of expertise

Strong documentation skills with the ability to document physician practice workflow and recommend changes

MS Office skills that include, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Project

Maintain a current, valid California Driver’s License and maintain reliable transportation
